Hyetal
This piece was created through a sustained process of drawing and blending oil pastels on a large roll of paper, which was subsequently ripped apart and then reformed onto the wire frame using flour and water. Because of the colours chosen, the drawing turned out very air-y and soft (in comparison to drawings that were created in a similar manner, such as Leftovers). Hyetal, with its exploratory process and automatically decided composition, is a nod towards topographical maps and the formation of natural land forms. |
